Garth Hoffort, President of Watson Land, is a land professional and leader in the community who inspires loyalty and commitment from his staff through his professional integrity, strong vision and keen technical knowledge of land services in Western Canada. Garth leveraged a decade of experience and launched Watson Land Services in the early 2010 – leading 5 employees; he set out to build a new type of Land Company: a diversified, service oriented business. Watson Land Services has grown since that time into one of the industry leaders, serving clients in oil & gas, transportation, utilities, and telecommunications from Estevan and Saskatoon. The professionals on Garth’s team are experts in the fundamentals of land project management – from notification, consultation and negotiation through regulation, acquisition and administration.
With a positive and proactive leadership style, Garth instills confidence in his team and clients. His customer-driven approach ensures all projects are completed to the highest standards. Garth has an entrepreneurial approach, which consistently provides fresh thinking and strategic solutions to every project.
Garth Hoffort has extensive knowledge of the oil industry which he has attained in over thirty five years of experience. He was the owner of Innovative Supervision Ltd., managing a team of specialized oilfield consultants for over 14 years. In addition to working for oil & gas clients, and under Garth’s leadership, Watson Land now is an integral team member in major utility upgrades in Saskatchewan. His customer-driven approach ensures all projects are completed to the highest standards.
Garth brings with him many long-term relationships within the oil & gas and utilities sectors. He has always maintained excellent relations with landowners and government bodies. Garth has a positive and proactive leadership style that instills confidence in his team and clients. His project management skills are highly valued.
Garth’s commitment to safety ensures that the Watson Land Services Safety Program is continually monitored and updated to protect our most valuable asset, the employees.
Community involvement is important to Garth. He served on the board of executives for the Estevan Woodlawn Golf Club for 10 years, four of those years as the President. He was instrumental in managing and overseeing recent construction upgrades at the Course. He has also been involved with the Estevan Oilfield Technical Society, serving a number of positions, including Secretary and Director. In both organizations, his management skills and reliability were appreciated.
